Ms. CEO's Baby Daddy Is the Merchant of Death

Synopsis

Connor Reed is not a man who loses. As the head of Dominion Tech, the largest arms company on the planet, he has built an empire on ruthlessness, precision, and the kind of power that makes governments nervous. When the attempts on his life forced him underground, he became a truck driver, invisible and unreachable. One night on the road he saved Scarlett Hayes from a dangerous situation, and what followed was a single encounter neither of them planned. Connor moved on, focused on destroying the people hunting him. Scarlett moved on too, raising their daughter Summer alone for four years while refusing to compromise or disappear quietly into an arranged marriage her family demanded. When she finally tracks Connor down and introduces him to the little girl who calls strangers daddy at the park, the most feared arms dealer in the world finds himself facing the one enemy he has absolutely no strategy for: a four-year-old who just wants her father.

Fascinating Curiosities About the Series

The series premiered on ReelShort on February 1, 2026, and immediately separated itself from other hidden-identity dramas through its premise, placing the secret not in hidden wealth or corporate power but in a global arms empire that makes Connor Reed genuinely dangerous to everyone around him.
Nick Puya, who plays Connor Reed, was born on October 11, 1994, in South Florida, and began building his acting career at nineteen years old. His ability to shift between cold, commanding authority and quiet, unguarded tenderness in scenes with Summer is widely cited by viewers as the performance that elevates the series above its genre.
Nikki Leigh, the actress behind Scarlett Hayes, is a model, actress, and content creator from Orange County, California, with over a million followers across her platforms and a previous ReelShort appearance in Step Aside, I'm The King of Capital that had already established her as one of the platform's most recognized leading women.
Scarlett Shields, who plays Summer, began her career as a model at just eighteen months old, bringing to the role a natural ease and genuine presence that makes the father-daughter scenes between her and Nick Puya feel completely unscripted and emotionally immediate.
The flash marriage between Connor and Scarlett in the early episodes creates a domestic situation that runs in constant tension with the assassination threat still circling Connor, forcing the series to balance intimate family moments against escalating danger without losing the emotional weight of either.
Scarlett's family storyline adds a layer of class-based cruelty to the series that deepens the stakes considerably, with her stepmother and half-sister weaponizing Summer's unknown paternity against both of them, making Connor's eventual intervention feel like justice on multiple fronts simultaneously.
The series earned an IMDb user rating of approximately 8.3 in its opening weeks, one of the strongest scores recorded for a vertical short-form drama in 2026, reflecting the genuine emotional connection audiences formed with a story that manages to be an action thriller, a corporate drama, and a tender family portrait all at once.
