Synopsis

Colt Thorne used to be known as the Mech King, but the death of both his parents left him hollowed out enough to abandon that title entirely and vanish into a quiet life cleaning floors for a living. Freya is the reason he's still standing, the woman who rescued him during his lowest point and the one he has carried feelings for ever since, all without ever telling her. Things shift the moment Freya gets set up and forced into a mech duel meant to destroy her, leaving Colt with no option but to step back into the identity he spent years hiding from the world. The moment he does, his Neural Sync hits a full 100 percent, putting him back in the cockpit of The Tempest with everything that machine is capable of. From there the story stops being about a personal rescue and turns into a fight against an alien swarm threatening to end life as everyone knows it, with Colt now the only person standing in its way.
