Synopsis

When Melody's father plans to trade her to a corrupt businessman, she takes matters into her own hands at an upscale party, spiking the drink of a powerful stranger. The stranger drinks it anyway, fully aware of what she did. He turns out to be August, a wealthy tycoon who also happens to be the uncle of her cheating ex-boyfriend Kai. Pulled into a game she triggered herself, Melody becomes the center of August's obsession, and he sets the terms: a hidden device, a remote in his pocket, and absolute control.

The full series is available on NetShort, a short drama platform that works on iOS, Android, and any standard web browser. It is free to access and listed on both official app stores, so no third-party software is required to start watching.

What You Didn't Know About This Series

Within days of launching on NetShort, The CEO's Custom Game Of Desire became one of the platform's most-discussed titles, with viewers on TikTok and Facebook splitting into two camps over whether August's control tactics make him a compelling anti-hero or someone audiences should root against entirely.
The series was shot in vertical format for mobile screens, and several key scenes use intentional framing to place August physically higher in the shot than Melody, a visual choice that communicates the power imbalance before either character says a word.
The show collected over 166,000 favorites on NetShort, ranking it among the platform's most bookmarked corporate romance titles, a number that grew notably in the week following a wave of reaction videos posted around the first episode.
Unlike short dramas that stretch tension through repeated misunderstandings, this series builds its conflict through calculated power plays from the very first scene, a structure that drew comparisons from fans to compressed Korean office dramas reformatted for vertical screens.
With 51 episodes produced for a short-drama platform where each episode runs under five minutes, the writing team packed in a full corporate conspiracy arc, a fake-death scheme, a framing plot, and a marriage proposal without the pacing feeling rushed, which drew specific praise in viewer comments.
The moment in episode one where August knowingly drinks the spiked wine became a recurring reference point across social media, with audiences pointing to it as the clearest early signal that the male lead is always operating several steps ahead of every other character in the show.
NetShort made The CEO's Custom Game Of Desire available in at least 16 languages, including German, Arabic, Turkish, and Vietnamese, reflecting a distribution approach that goes well beyond the Southeast Asian markets that typically anchor short drama viewership.
